November 27, 2011

We're here in Phoenix, AZ. The weather is delightfully warm!

We left GJ, CO as scheduled with no delays, but after boarding the plane in Denver, the pilot decided some "mechanical issues" were important enough to refuse to fly the plane. We were de-boarded and they had to find us another plane to fly. It was much faster than we anticipated. We were re-boarded and took off only a hour later than originally expected.

Once arriving we were picked up in a shiny, white limo! Talk about driving in style. It was nice to be treated so special. There was another couple on the same flight who is also here for their first visit. The husband has some form of cancer. Never did get their names, but the husbands sister has had a form of breast cancer for 8 years and is now in stage 4. She too could use our prayers.

We were driven to the facility and given a tour so we would know where to go in the morning for our appointments. Then we were driven to the Marriott across the street; they give the patients a very reduced rate to stay here.  The first visit even more than the following visits.

After getting settled, my Uncle Hal Dearing picked us up and we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. The we got to go to his place, meet Willie, and see Aunt Joan, Uncle Bill & Andy. Hal's Christmas decorations are incredible! You all need to come here at least once during the Christmas season to see them! It's worth the trip!

I'm headed to bed early tonight anticipating a long day tomorrow. As I've said before, we won't know any additional answers regarding my condition and further treatment until then.

Thanks again for all your prayers & encouragement!

Many Blessings to you all!

Until Next time.....CV
