After another so-so nights 'alert rest', my radation treatment was at 7:30 a.m. I remainded in the library reading, checking my email, visiting and then went to breakfast. The dining room here is amazing!!! Organic, gluten-free, fat free, sugar free and tastey! The price break they give to the patients and their caregivers is unbelievable!
I met a lady yesterday, Mary Beth, from Maryville, TN!! She's returning home today, but she'll be back again; she's looking forward to meeting up with the folks one day.
At noon, I went to a Christmas party and had a wonderful lunch. At 2pm there was a December Birthday cake in the dining room, and at 3:00 pm there was a Grade School choir that came to sing carols. I think I was back to my room before 4:30, but I'm tuckered out. Glad I brought dinner home with me so I don't have to go back.
I have some names for everyone to pray for that God has sent by my way:
- Clarissa ~ Las Vegas (I think) been on this road a while needs some encouragement.
- Dean (caregiver) & Kathleen, new diagnosis, just sold a house and are downsizing over Christmas.
- Patty ~ anal cancer & Betty (Mom) been here since August ~ from Alaska
- My good friend, Debbie Warren, in Tampa who was diagnoised at the same time I was. Mom of four boys ~ great support system.
As I travel this road, continue your prayers for me, but please pray for those who God leads through my path that I can encourage in their difficult journey. We are on this road together!
